This is a First. I’m beginning to think they made Tatiana go to the wild card round for the drama she contributes to the show and then turning her down for top 12. The latest last minute surprise was there will be an extra Finalist this year The 13th Wild Card – Anoop Desai!
He was the last to be added to the wild card round and He was also the last to be added to top 13 which traditionally is only a top 12.
4 judges, Wild Card round was brough back,more focus on behind the scenes drama, Sing offs, and now Top 13. These are the new stuff on Idol… Most probably, they still have more surprises up their sleeves….
The top 13 finalists are: Kris Allen, Danny Gokey, Alexis Grace, Allison Iraheta, Adam Lambert, Scott MacIntyre, Jorge Nunez, Lil Rounds, Michael Sarver, And the wild card winners: Jasmine Murray, Megan Corkrey, Matt Giraud and lucky 13 Anoop Desai.
My favorites to make it to top 6 are : Scott,Danny,Alexis,Jorge,Anoop,and Lil. But my top 2 are Scott and Anoop.

In terms of raw talent, I still think Lil Rounds is the strongest. Her biggest problem in some ways is that she really is an amateur singer. Some of this year’s leading competitors are working, professional musicians and entertainers. (Gokey, Lambert, etc.)
